I’m Joshua Madison Rickert—a full-stack software engineer, media and technology consultant, and creative producer based in the San Francisco Bay Area, California. In my 15+ years working in the technology industry, I’ve built numerous web applications and presences for startups, nonprofits, and established businesses. My diverse background means I bring a rare blend of technical expertise and creative vision, often serving as the ‘glue’ in large, cross-functional projects.

Since 2020, I’ve been a partner at Crux Jinx Productions, a full-service production company specializing in social impact storytelling and VFX. At Crux Jinx, I lead production teams of up to 70 people and apply my extensive tech background to streamline our post-production and media workflows.

Since 2017, I have been the artist and performer behind Toefood, a genre-blending project blending saxophone, voice, and live electronics with technology for a one-of-a-kind live show. Toefood is proudly represented by LoveTech.

I continuously remain deeply engaged in Bay Area arts communities. I’ve been part of Synaesthesia Collective since 2019 and stepped up as its lead in 2024. I also volunteer with the Bay Area Film Mixer, supporting filmmakers in growing their creative networks.

Whether you need help building a web platform, automating your pipeline, or launching an ambitious new project—I’d love to connect.
