Wayne Szalinski performs their song These are the Layers of Bandages as part of Colin Marshall’s Spartan Sessions series. The song was recorded multitrack live on the set using my trusty bank of Presonus Firepods and a laptop running Reaper. After we obtained a satisfactory take, the band mimed along to the recording while the camera operators got the rest of the shots they needed. I served as the recording engineer for the shoot, and I was assisted by Jessica Carie. The recording was handed off to Colin Marshall and Luke Schwarzweller for the final mix.
